Our organization is raising funds in efforts to fight a data center being built in our community against the wishes of the majority of our citizens. Our citizens have showed up and voiced their opinions against it, but the city continues to proceed forward, pushing for the better interests of the corporations and not for their residents. This doesn't only affect Edgerton, however, but multiple communities around us! Our goal is to raise the funds to fight for our citizens and our community. We will not take corporate money or political donations. Therefore, we need all the help we can get from our friends, families, and local neighbors!

With the City of Edgerton recently serving the nonprofit and two citizens with a civil suit after a petition was presented for the right to vote for data centers, we need to raise money for an attorney to fight this! Citizens should not be sued for exercising their first amendment! Scroll down to the bottom of this section to donate, or buy a shirt or a garden flag to help! We thank ALL of our supporters and couldn't do it without you!

Public Trust Collective has designed a garden flag so you can display in front of your home that you don't want a data center coming to your community. We want more research and environmental studies done prior to just welcoming these into our communities with open arms!
Know the Stance of Elected Officials
Another way we can take action is to know what our elected officials stand for before we vote. We have numerous elections coming up, including one to vote in a new governor of Kansas. Data centers are a bipartisan topic. Knowing where your candidates stand allow you to make decisions based on the candidates who have your best interests in mind. We have done the research on where political candidates stand on this topic so you can know who you are voting for before the election.

Allow Citizens of Edgerton the Opportunity to Vote for Data Center Placement
Formal petition was circulated to request that citizens have a voice. It was requested that Edgerton citizens be able to vote for if they want data centers allowed in their city limits. This petition allowed for citizen voting rights on these projects, whether you were for or against them!
The Petition for an Ordinance in the City of Edgerton has been turned in to the City Clerk at 1:16pm on July 15th, 2026. Good work Edgerton! You did it!
